Leverhulme Artist in Residence

04th October 2010
Bill's Leverhulme Trust artist residency began at the beginning of October.

The residency runs from October 2010 to June 2011.

Bill will work at the Department as a photographer. The aim is to use photography to represent the practice of archaeologists in the field and labs, to explore archaeology as a visual practice and to make links between the two disciplines.

Bill will spend part of his time on the MA in Landscape Archaeology run by Bob Johnston. Hopefully students on the MA will contribute their own photographs to this site.

An exhibition will be created at the end of the residency which will be displayed at a venue in the university before being exhibited permanently throughout the department.

Bill and Bob Johnston will also organise a day seminar on visualising archaeology at the department in early summer.
