Stonehenge Riverside Project
22nd Apr 07Bill will be undertaking a photo essay of archaeologists digging near Stonehenge.
He will be visiting the Stonehenge Riverside Project for a week in later August/early September to photograph working archaeologists.
The aim is to document:
* the practice of archaeology including individual and group interactions with the site.
* the inhabitation by a large archaeological team of a space that was inhabited for very different domestic. and ceremonial purposes in the neolithic
* public interest in the Stonehenge area and in the act of archaeological fieldwork.
