Tikal, Guatemala

13th November 2007
Bill is currently in the Peten region of Guatemala, Central America, undertaking a photography shoot of Tikal.

Tikal was one of the most important ancient Mayan cities and is now the most-visited in Guatemala. Imposing pyramid temples rise above the jungle canopy like stone sentinels. It is truly one of the most atmospheric 'lost cities' of the Tropics. The rainforest trees are alive with monkeys and birds.

Bill is spending six weeks living just outside of Tikal and travelling to the ruins twice or three times a week to produce a photographic study of this amazing place.
